THE ARYAN RACE THEORY : A POWERFUL BRITISH WEAPON TO DIVIDE AND RULE BY BANGAPATI

 

 

 

Every great power conquers its enemies not only by force, but by weaking the opposition's moral and intellectual resistance. It is true in all ages and all times. It is an universal law which remains unchanged and will remain so. Every Empire, Civilization, Culture, People and Community can prosper only when its enemies are destroyed. The destruction of enemy has several ways, but no way is so powerful as the silent propaganda. Since time immemorial, propaganda played an important part in human history and from it evolved the art of expansionism. The culture which was the master of this art survived and the culture which lacked it, got destroyed. For example, the Spanish adventurers and preachers constantly preached against the Mayans, Aztecs, Incas of South-Central America. This resulted in the disappearence of these cultures. The Arabs constantly preached against their enemies before the wars. This weakened the enemy's moral strength. The Greco-Romans in the past and the British in modern times, excelled in this art. We all know how the Anglo-Americans are responsible for the disappearance of the Red Indians and how the Brits destroyed the Maoris in Australia. But the Red Indians and Maoris are inferiors in culture, compared to the Hindu Civilization. The Hindus could not be dominated easily like they did in Africa, Australia and America. Hence it was necessary to weaken the Hindu mind and dilute their history. This was the basis of Aryan Race Theory and other theories associated with it. The weapon was not new. When the Muslims conquered this land, they came in the name of Equality. The message was--IN ISLAM, ALL PEOPLE ARE EQUAL, BUT IN HINDUISM, THEY ARE NOT. This mess helped to spread Islam. The Muslims targeted the Brahmanas coz they were the "brain of the Hindu society." The Pirali Brahmans of Bangladesh are the examples. They were not converted to Islam by force, but by tricks. They still follows the customs of Hindus. However, the Islam was followed by Europeans. The Portuguese, Dutch, Danes, French etc failed to the rising power of Britain and Bharat had become "jewel in the British crown". But a jewel could only remain safe when the thief that stole it claimed it as his own. To claim this jewel, the Brits needed some learned men who could write a new theory-a theory that was never heard before and a theory that would protect the Brits interest. The theory named Aryan Race Theory divided the world into two cultures ( as the Muslims divide the world into dar ul islam and dar ul harb ). The first culture is Aryan in which belongs the White Races of Europe and their descendants, while the second culture is non-Aryan in which belongs the Asiatic races, the Africans and native Americans. This theory put the Aryan Homeland somewhere in Northern Europe or in Central Asia. To become an Aryan, one must have a drop of Nordic blood. The Aryan superiority and inferiority of other races were declared. The decline of India was explained as a Decline of Aryan Culture and mixing of races. To reestablish it, the Brits invented a new way. The long rule of Britain which would make Bharat an Aryan Land. The Theory, however, had some flaws. It did not explain the rise of Japan during the 19th Century which had no European blood. It also failed to explain the rise of Zulus who troubled the Brits. Neither the Zulus, nor the Japs ever mixed with Europeans. So how did they find strength? Another flaw in the theory was that despite the long Aryan presence in Germany, it was divided till the 19th Century. And as the Aryans defeated non-Aryans in Bharat, none of the high caste Hindu got blonde hair and blue eye? The Race Theory created a barrier in Hindu Society, which was designed by the British Civil Servants. It gave birth to SC, ST, quota politics, and anti-brahman movements. This broke the backbone of the Hindu Society. The Muslim propaganda took a new turn. As the Aryans or majority Hindus came from outside, they were like the Muslim invaders. The Hindu History also lost its appeal, as Ramayan-Mahabharat were written by invaders. A few nationalist leaders tried to raise the question that if the Aryans were outsiders, so were the Brits in America, Asia and Africa. The Theory developed the Anti-Jewish sentiments in Europe, which benefitted Hitler. The theory gave birth to other similar theories but nobody questioned the fact why the Brits, as outsiders, didn't give freedom to other races, nor it explained why the Muslims, as outsiders, were occupying most of the Asian and North African countries. The Nordic origin of Aryans later claimed all the good things of conquered races. As a German claimed that Jesus had nordic blood. So had all the Vedic deities. And so had the Ancient Egyptians and Sumerians. The Chinese greatness was ignored, so was the greatness of Mongols, whom the Brits could not conquer.
